Peter Prins started the company Land Water Food in 2014. He has deliberately opted for a modern organizational model: working alone but looking for cooperation with other experts where it adds value. For clients it is important to keep costs as low as possible. There is no overhead and office costs are limited. The line to the client is  short and personal. Land Water Food is characterized by commitment, decisiveness, flexibility and professionalism. By choosing a small core and depending on the nature of the mission to collaborate with external specialists from the network can quickly and efficiently respond to customer demand. Clever use of digital techniques for the analysis of soil, water use and crop development allows to adequately host the services.

 

Strong international network in agriculture

Peter has worked with farmers' organizations at home and abroad at length. As a specialist in the field of environment, agriculture and water he has developed a major, international network around this theme. In recent years, he has accrued considerable experience around climate adaptation in agriculture. As an independent consultant he connects parties from "farm to minister" which are  needed to achieve structural improvement in food production. The result counts. Projects should lead to tangible improvements in income and sustainability. This is impossible without local leadership and support. This requires close collaboration with the target audience.

 

Farmers' driven international climate projects

An integral method was applied to climate projects in Uganda and Cambodia and most recently in initiatives in Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and Colombia. The focus of each is to strengthen the resilience of food systems with a sustainable use of soil, water and nutrients.
